PERSEVERANCE
School of Discipleship & Ministry
On Dec. 2, 2011 fifteen students graduated from the two year program. Students that persevered through some trialing times, deaths of loved ones, illnesses, loss of jobs, and yet they kept their eyes on Jesus the promises of his word and were diligent in knowing him more.
How we wish that we could somehow express how precious each one of them are. They are serving in their churches, some worship leaders, elders of their church, woman studies, children ministries, missions. One can equip but only can God do the calling. And so God did by calling two students to teach the school of Discipleship and Ministry at their churches. A praise and prayer answered as we ask that God would raise up teachers to help.
This evening was a testimony for us personally of our Lord’s faithfulness in calling us to Costa Rica. Many when we arrived spoke about how no one would go to the school or many would not take time to actually finish a two year program. But when God’s heart and vision was embedded in us, those oppositions that came could not over power the calling of our Lord. It is like when the apostle Paul says woe to me if I do not preach the gospel, woe to us if we would not step out in faith and see what our God will do. We know that this is just the beginning of what is to come and the start of amazing things yet to happen!
Glory to God and thank you for making it possible for us to follow God’s call.
(Matt 28:19) Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:
(Matt 28:20) Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
In His amazing grace, Victor & Nichol Mejia
